New DC gear for fall and winter 2001! From shoes like the Tekron, Eclipse, and the Essense, to hoody's, tees, and button downs for apparell.

The idea for DC began in 1993, when Ken Block, Damon Way, and their business partner, Clayton Blehm decided to make skateboarding shoes that were highly distinctive and offered superior performance. At the time, there weren’t many companies that made shoes strictly for skateboarders, and the shoes that existed used designs and materials that hadn’t changed much since the ‘80s. Not satisfied with the conservative look and feel of most skateboarding shoes, Ken Block wanted to make shoes with advanced technical features that would out-perform other brands, and also have unique designs that set them apart from the pack. Ken and Damon saw a need for shoes that offered real performance and served the unique demands of skateboarding.
DC began turning heads in the skateboarding industry. It was obvious that no one else was providing skateboarders with technical footwear, and the clean, functional aesthetics of the products and the company appealed to skateboarders everywhere. Many pro riders who were not on the team were pictured wearing DCs in magazine articles. The young company’s willingness to listen to the team and make the shoes they wanted attracted other talented skateboarders
